I just bought an Jegs 2.5 in universal x pipe kit and a set of
Dynomax Ultra Flo mufflers for my 72 Demon. How critical is the
location of the x pipe and if so, how do you determine the location?
I know this set up is heavier than just straight pipes and mufflers, any
ideas where to put additional hangers to help support this exhaust
set up. Thanks for your input.

I don't know how critical it is as far as performance, but the directions on my Pypes x-pipe said 10-12 inches behind the tailshaft of the transmission.

I feel your pain. Jeg's; At home, hooked up to headers ( 3 trips to muffler shop to have pipes expanded). Hey, my muffler guy is the Mustang that won Pinks, against that girl. That said he did'nt want to take her car, until she gave him a ration of crap, after the race. lol.
But, that x is a ****; (I got the one with the side cut-outs) Almost impossible to do at home. As the further back it gets, closer the mufflers get to the rear end.

Thanks to everyone for your input.I appreciate the help.
