A quick video of me refurbishing my interior dome lights. They came out pretty good and only took <10 minutes of actual work.

Nice! Definitely looks better. Might consider some Flitz on the chrome housing...It's a great polish for that sort of work.
 
Thanks guys. Jtolbert I'll have to give Flitz a try. Have been using Maas for fine metal polishing and bartenders friend on any metal with crud, rust, and tarnish.
 
You sir are a genius! Saved me a lot of time. Bet that your trick would work on my yellowed washer jug and overflow tank. Thanks, Dan
 
Think to what chlorine bleach is shipped and stored in. The dome itself is pretty thick and hefty so a night or two in some bleach shouldn't bother it.


True, however there are some plastics which do not tolerate bleach very well. Most do.
