Ok folks.
I am putting together my 360 for my Barracuda.
After talking with my friend who is very knowlagable with these small block combinations. we decided that I should build a mild 360 really just a stock rebuild with a mild cam and some j-heads.
Talked me out of the 408 for another year.
I want to keep the car totally drivable for the street but, I want to take it out and have some fun at the track too .
looking for some low to mid 12's out of it . which is respectable for a street car while retaining the drivability. no over heating loading up that kind of crap.
We talked about intakes options and we want to keep all of the power down low for this build. we went with the following.
low mile 70's 360 block re-ringed and bearings. ( very clean Straight block )
Comp 480/480 cam
Mildly ported J-heads
2800 to 3000 converter
TCI 727 comp trans with manual valve body.
355 gears.
I decided to put the Mopar dual plane intake on it. what kind do you all think about this intake for this build. Never had any experiance with this intake.
was discouraged on my first choice which would be the Eddy Performer RPM
because this motor will not see 6000rpm. pretty much thinking about 5400 to 5800 shift points.
I will be spraying this motor with a 125 shot of NOS.
I am thinking that I will be at about 300hp on motor or very close and make some nice torque too.
