Z-bar help

I have a 71 Duster that had a 3spd, I am swapping a 4spd and still have the 3spd Zbar installed will that work with my 4spd. Thanks!

I don't know if I can be much help because I'm still longing for my first A body 4 speed,but why would a 3spd trans or a 4 spd trans even need a different Z bar all it is,is a lincage to transfer verticle to horizontal motion right??

yes, but whant to make sure it is not different. I would rather not remove the one already installed.

I had a 72 dart 318 3 spd and changed it to a 340 4 spd, same z bar used.

As long as you aren't changing engine/bellhousing, the z bar should work fine.

I am going with a 340 vs 318 engine measurements should be the same?
