Z bar........v8????

I got a 4 speed setup for the Demon, every thing but the Z bar. Going to Woodburn this weekend for the MOPAR show and swapmeet and was hoping to find one. I dont know the difference from a six, small block or big block. Can any one tell me measurements of what to look for. It is for a 71 Demon 340.............THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

It should measure 7.5" from end of tube to end of tube. If it's 8.5 inches, it's for a six cylinder - which all you would need to do is cut off an inch and it would work just fine. You'll know a big block z-bar because of how the arms are shaped - nothing like a v8. Check out Brewer's site for comparison:

I may be able to help U with that z-bar if U don't find one @ the swapmeet. I need someone to post some measurements to be sure though.....;-)
