Z bar

I have decided i might have made a rookie mistake. I used the slant 6. 3 speed z bar on my now 318 4 speed set up. All the bushings are new. Every thing bolted up and the clutch works pretty good (Doesn't feel right some tines when i push it in). However it is adjusted all the way out and the clutch is brand new. Is there a specific bar for a slant 6 and another one for a v-8

The only difference between a \6 z-bar and sb z-bar for an A-body is the length of the tube with the \6 being about 1.5" longer. I trimmed mine when I swapped from \6 to 360. I am surprised that you were able to get the \6 to fit without trimming.

yea mee too. I remember it was a tight fit but not 1.5 inches tight :-k
Does it make a difference that it was a 198ci \6
