Hi all,

Another member is in need of heater control pins to replace his broken ones.

I can have them made in Aluminum, but I need one to get measurements from.

It can be broken as long as the pieces are there.

The other member is going to try and get me dimensions but if anyone has a 67 up heater control they could loan me or sell me super cheap I would be interested.

If you have a broken pin but have all the pieces that would work too.

A secondary method is detailed photos and dimensions of the pin.

Moderators if you feel the need to turn this into a wanted ad that's fine but it's really about making a part. The getting a part is secondary.

I think I may have a control assembly in storage. I'm sure others have loose ones as well.

I may have found my AC control from my 67 Dart Convert #2 if it is where I think it is i'll be able to see if the pins are the same in it. (Fingers Crossed)
 
I'm pretty sure the lower lever is the same on both AC and heater controls, so the pin should be the same.

Now I have to get 67 Dart #1 out of the garage! Might have to wait a day or two!

Bad news
AC control does not have the plastic pins. It has a peened in metal post.

Good news...

The blower motor switch was in good shape and I disassembled and cleaned and lubed it up ready for Dart #2

Which broadens my search criteria for heat only controls
 
No real chamfer, just knock the edge off.
This probably could have been reversed engineered from the mechanisms, the slots would give you the pin diameter, measure between the plates, add some tolerances machine and test.

Mine from about 1990, I'm pretty sure the guy that made mine just used 1/2 rod, I did have one good one to work from. I did put some grease in this before it went in the car. This moves so smooth you would think the cables are not connected.

looks like that attaches the control lever to the mechanism. If you want to ship it to me I can Reverse Engineer it as well. Ill ship back the parts to you in a couple weeks.

I'm having 25 of the posts made in Aluminum right now and I'm asking around my local buddies to see if anyone has a heater control for sale. (MODERATORS... IM NOT ASKING ANYONE HERE IF THEY HAVE ONE FOR SALE) I may just hit up a local junk yard where several of the era cars are.
 
A friend of mine says she may be able to make a resin mold for the slide part. Figured why not. I can send you a sample or the original after we attempt
 
Looks like the 68 and up slides rather than swivels like the 67, who knew!

Me either. I thought 67 thru 76 that were heat only had the same control.
