Looking for opinions on the rotary plug on the back of the instrument panel. I'm putting it back in and it's pretty snug which I'm thinking is a good thing but I don't want to wiggle it too much and potentially crack any connections so I was wondering if it makes sense to use some kind of electrical connection lube. Thoughts??

Should not be necessary.

Figure there was none on it for the last 50+ years

I like to use some spray lithium lube. Helps it slide together and prevent corrosion.

IMO Tight is good on that plug! loose makes voltage loss and current rise, both equal bad news!
