Looking for a heart of gold ?
Meet Milky Way! This senior was found by a kind Samaritan on her porch with some wicked wounds from some sort of animal attack.
The same person who rescued a kitty of ours Pot Pie, took Milky Way to the vet and had work done there but due to the extreme wounds and possible leg amputation shelet us take over.
That’s how she made her way to Frankie’s and has been here since the beginning of April. She’s a senior..at least 12 plus years old, has had to have a full mouth extraction due to painful rotted teeth(she can still eat dry food!)…and lots of medical care and meds to get her to where she is today….which is…READY for adoption! She is still a bit scruggly( we believe that is a real word) but all healed up finally
She’s SO sweet but VERY shy so we are looking for a very calm, gentle and loving home. It’s often really hard to get senior cats adopted but we are hoping that’s not the case for our little senior warrior! She’s been on my lap a lot since I had this little feral (Tattoo) fixed six months ago and adopted her she’s never been brushed. Her sister Tumbleweed was so bad when I brought her in I had to cut knots out of her. She’s perfect now but tattoo was watching me brush her then jumped up so I had my first opportunity. I think she liked it.

Meanwhile I head down to the shop for a quick job and her outside mother and brothers were waiting on their early evening treats.
We got hit with "kitten season" yesterday.
Friend calld to say they bought a house (they're flippers) that had squatters who left 12 cats- 3 mothers and 9 kittens.
...and the person we adopted Ninja to called and said someone left 2 tiny black kittens on her porch.
I wish government agencies would get on board with TNR.
I can't for the life of me understand how anyone could be opposed to that, yet there are folks who actively and borderline violently do oppose it, and unfortunately the government seems to not want to offend them.

I follow almost any Post I see on Facebook that does TNR’s. When I started getting 8 ferals fixed last year it cost around 100.00 each average to get the cats fixed, checked out, treated for fleas, rabies, etc. I could walk In Monday to Wednesday with one cat in a trap with no appointment. Had to be in a trap so I had to buy a trap. Frankie’s Friends is probably at least 10 miles from me so that took four trips for each cat. It’s not easy for people to not only afford but have the time to do this.

We just got a reduction in cost. SPCA now has a $45 program, but prior to that, the cheapest was $75, and that was a brand new Humane Society program. Any place else here is over $100.
If "the dog catcher" was on board and we could have local, county, or even state funded programs, I believe we could get "the feral cat epidemic" under contol before it gets completely out of hand.
One eve early '87, a friend & I went to a record & musicians store in Donaldson's Crossroads, then ran up to Heads Together for a bit of shopping. He left His Datsun, & We were rollin' in the Thunderbooger, for 'extra' entertainment. Once Home, He got in His ride & We were talkin' about the band I ended up in, when out from under the car popped this little fella'...
This pic taken right before I cut the shackle box section out of the donor chunk at right for the Killer6. He curled up in My lap while I was sitting cross-legged using an air chisel & wafer wheel, & fell asleep, He was so happy to just be there w/a human lol!!!!

The government doesn't care about its people, why would they care about cats. It is a God Damn shame.
Little Furball made it to the top of the open hood,.....then slid all the way back down to the cowl, popped up & pranced around the A-pillar then along the door. My Mom's allergic to anything that grows or sheds just about, so after a few days I got the Neighbors to take Him, They named Him 'George'("George is My Friend").

We have this guy at our plant. He seemed awfully friendly, so we got some food for him, and he could be domesticated with little effort. He loves a laser like no cat I've ever seen.
