Excellent work as allways! My vote is for the black air cleaner!
And some of those readily available 340 parts won't work.
Car was running great....What a noticeable difference going from a 2 to 4 barrel!!
Then a problem surfaced :banghead:
Amazing what a couple pieces of crud found wedged between the needle & seat will cause
So, C - did I loose a page in this? What did you end up doing for the throttle cable bracket?
What color did the air cleaner end up?

Good to send this to the front of the line. It reminded me that I needed to edit my last post with part numbers below each photo for clarification.Thank you @krazykuda and @6pak2goDemon for starting this thread for all to use and enjoy

I'm with ya there. My ol' 2 barrel does a nice job. I have had a LD4B and a AVS2 for quite a few years. Haven't installed it yet. Thanks for dredging this one up. Now collecting parts for the 2 to 4 conversion myself. Just slightly hesitant since the car runs SO good right now.
Nicely done!Hey guys ..
As always, this site is a gold mine of information.
I had some flat stock kicking around so decided to build a bracket for the coil on my LD4B. I'm happy with the result.

Nope. Te large hole is a GM thing. THey used a bushing for their throttle rod. Your kickdown is all wrong. It should look something like this. I can't guarantee these photos are correct. The pivot in the back goes on the post on the throttle bracket. THat transfers the horizontal movement to vertical that goes down behind the cylinder head.340 brackets arrived from Mancini... getting them painted up right now.
Puzzling on the kickdown linkage if there's some insight. Using the stock plate and linkage but not sure on the connection onto the carb. (?)
This is a 1971 318 with LD4B and Holley 4160
Thanks ahead of time for the feedback.
