I found this easy way of making a nice crisp hole that does not involve using a razor blade cutting too large and seems to work...

Another trick that I used recently that works extremely well is to substitute the torch and stud method with a good, hot soldering iron....Like butter!

I am not a advertiser for Harbor Freight but the price is right here. Punches a nice neat hole.

I have a friend that has been doing custom interiors for years...I used to help him at his shop when my work was slow (pre-wife & kids lol). He taught me to use an old junk 5/16" deep socket, and do the torch trick with that. (I use a socket driver with the plastic screwdriver-type handle) Man it's always worked great, the edges of the socket slide right through and it easily pushes the 'slug' out and leaves a nice clean hole.

I just got some new American Carpet from stock interiors for my Duster they suggested a miniature hole saw now being a carpenter for 33 years I don't think I've ever seen a hole saw that small I love you guys ideas and I appreciate y'all for posting and sharing them
