Installed 1970 duster front bumper and brackets 0n my 1975 duster went on with only one mod so far removed bumper shocks and put two 1/2 with 3/4 head bolts
that came off the car cut the press on washers that were cracked and replace them with thick cat washers that i made flat on top and bottom to pass the washer through the hole in the front and bottom of the frame and put the bumper brackets on them with new nuts and washers . used old bumper that i had for fitting it is bent and twisted have a good on that will go on for final fit . did have to bend the point nose on the header panel
down so it would tuck under top of bumper you can see it hits the two bars in the back will be putting four flat washers only on the top four bumper bolts to shim it .

Nice work!

Did you drill all the way through the frame rails, or add a captured nut for the bumper bolt you have since your '75 probably wouldn't have had the mounts for the non-shock brackets?

It looks like you could just put a small notch in the bumper to keep it from hitting the lower fill panel. Or maybe even a larger angled section that tapers in to mask the angle between the bumper and the filler?

didn't have to drill the frame the holes are all ready there just pass bolts up from the round hole that's already in the frame and
there is a round hole in the front of frame rail

Nicely done. Make sure you paint your radiator support flat black before final assembly.

yeah i should have done that already but always doing something else on the car first

That’s awesome love the look I have a 70-72 on my 73’ it always messes with people at shows

Not bad i didnt think the 71 etc fitted the 74, so the shape still works be interested to see pics once all on the ground. I am going to cut my shock mounts down and compress to suck the 74 bumper in. As to get a 71 front bumper here be near impossible and importing cost a bomb

Had to remove all the rubber filler behind the bumper and sides to get it to fit back in . If you cut the front point off were my center of the bumper is hitting it would go right in some more . but is going to be a drag car but will be tagged . This was the blue car in my Avatar
