I’m at a crossroads deciding on an intake manifold. I rebuilt a 2008 5.7 truck motor, going in a 96 dakota. The only upgrades to the motor are a comp 268 cam and shorty headers. Using Holley terminator x max and 46re trans. For an intake im thinking of using a stock truck or the holley fabricated sheet metal intake. I have a drive by wire pedal from an 06 jeep commander with the plug and wires that I cut off a few inches from the pedal. I know I’ll lose some hp and torque with the Holley intake. Can I make this work witH the DBW pedal? Should I get a cable controlled TB? This is all new territory for me.

If you're using the truck timing cover, then you may have dictated using the truck intake already.

I am using a Holley single plane intake with the stock 5.7 TB which required me to modify a LS 4150 adapter. I have not gotten the car running yet so I do not know how good or bad it will work. I am using a DBW Holley Terminator X max system with a Cherokee DBW peddle.

Intake looks great! I have been wondering how it performs.
