My dad bought this car in '97 from the orig owner a schoolteacher. Was a bare bones stripper car 170 slant 6, 7.25 rear 904 with 13" wheels radio delete, manual steering manual brakes. He built it for a 440 that cracked the block... it was pulled and a 360 was installed using a 68 barracuda v8 K Member, 727 8.25 3.21 LSD with 75 duster disc brakes. Sold in 2004. 1968 Valiant 100

Only a 245 at the moment, it will probably get a 265 while I fiddle about getting high horsepower from the 245, a 4-speed to go in there too.

My street legal red '65 Valiant Bracket Racer (273 CID) when I built it in Community College (1973). Same '65 Valiant today (black) after "upgraded" by the Renteria Brothers when I sold it to them 1980.

Bought my first day after x-mas -78, raced it a lot, fast thing with its slant that I don't have much clue what was in it but I won over a few V8 Mustangs... never liked the ones from -67 & up so exept for a sad -75 I only had the ones from 1960 to 1966. Here's my first:
(later on I put a Hemi in it)

Been workin on this `64 since 2012. Time and money being scarce. Should be a driver this season. Perked up 225 slant keeping the push button 904.

Valiants are ugly. Especially these cheapy old early-As, painted appliance white and owned by even cheaper Mopar enthusiasts that just don’t know how to appreciate a nice modern muscle car….oops was I talking out loud about myself again?

The valiant is the red headed step child of the red headed step child of the red headed step child of the classic car world
Dad bought a 64 Valiant, 170 slant with 3on the tree, light blue metalic and rubber mats. I was heart broken when he traded it in 69 and my youngest brother came on the scene. I was just coming up to gettgetting my DL. Would have been an excellent first car.
