Not originally. That's been cobbled/welded. The handle itself for 69 abody console has the bend in it. Not the shifter box.
 
I vaguely remember seeing something like that once in a (mid 60's?) Chevelle with a Muncie, I think... didn't spend much time looking at it, I had to get away before I got cooties... :rolleyes:
