Slant 6 timing cover

-
I believe so. I haven't seen any differences in them between all the year class engines I've seen.

The timing covers will physically fit between all the different years and sizes of the slant sixes. The thing to watch out for is the timing tab. It is in different places for different years, some are welded on to the cover, some bolt on.

If I recall correctly, the 66 Has a timing tab bolted to the lower driver side cover bolt. I don't remember if the 70 is bolted or welded. he timing marks on the damper correspond to the tab. The 66 bolt on tab can be put on the later cover and just disregard any other tabs on the cover. Depending on the vehicle, the incorrect tab might have to be removed if it interferes with the belt routing.
PS: when maxing/matching timing covers/tabs, and dampers, you can always remark the damper to match the cover/tab being used.

Charlie is correct about how the '66 timing tab attaches; it is a separate piece, bolted on.

There are a couple different snouts for the seal. I don't know the years, but here are a couple pictures of the styles.

Not sure of the year of the change, but the early ones the seal is R&R from the back. Cover must be removed to change the seal. The later covers don't have to be removed to R&R the seal, it is done from the front.
