I received my 408 last night but looks like it came with a stock center sump pan instead of the kevko pan I was told it comes with?

It is possible that you have a Kevco stock replacement pan. Go to there site and check it out how they also have trick stock pans.

But ask Blue Print about what you received.

When I asked while the motor was being built the part number they gave me was for the 1 at extra capacity with baffles. Im not arguing or anything cause ground clearances will be an issue with my setup. I was just wanting a clarification as to what I received.

2 years ago, my Blueprint 408 arrived with the same pan you got. I thought it might be the result of them painting my block orange, and the special handling involved. Nevertheless, just 1 call to @Johnny Mac and they shipped me the Kevco pan with gasket and pickup no charge no problem. I switched pans and sold that new stock style pan for my trouble. FWIW that Kevco pan fits perfect in my 73 Duster, stock front end, TTI headers etc.

Just talk to Johnny.

And Congrats on your new 408. I've got 6000km on mine so far and it runs awesome and hauls ***.

Hey @dennday67, I'm happy to help, can you shoot me your serial # in a PM? can you remind me if you ordered it direct from me, or direct from BP, or through a reseller?
When we knock out 50 engines a day, We do sometimes have to change items when shortages happen, or production goes low. In this case, the stamped pan performed the same as the aftermarket pans we tested, so its an allowable sub on our end for a deep sump pan. BUTTTTT that doesn't excuse the incorrect oil tag, or the incorrect information being given. I'm pretty careful not to name drop brands, unless its the ONLY one we use for that item, but if it was me, i apologize. and if not, then i'll work with whoever it was and inform them of the above. regardless, shoot me a PM, and i'll gladly see what pan/capacity it should be. and work with you to make you happy.

Sorry I've been extremely busy and haven't been online in a very long time. I did order my motor direct from BPE. I compared it to one of my other stock pans and it is identical so it's a stock 5qt capacity pan. I can private message you the serial number if you wish but I would like to discuss a couple things in a pm if that's okay?
