I have 14" X 5 1/2" Rallye wheels that originally had E70-14 tires on them. What modern day tire size replaces the E70-14?

Bias ply is quiet on the road,I put cheap Kuhmo 205-70-14's on my 68 GT. Nothing squeals like bias ply, however.
The Michelin Defender is a good and long lasting tire but the Michelin or other company's performance tire have soft and sticky compounds and wear fast as heck!
I don't think anyone makes those these days.i want to know where i can get some N50-14s
They must be scarce. Did you try Coker tire?i want to know where i can get some N50-14s
Or if he goes to a straight up 26 inch diameter tire, he'll be off the same205/70R14 is the closest.
E70-14 were 25.7" dia and had 8" section.
205/70R14 are 25.4" dia and have a 8.2" section, at least if you buy a good tire like Michelin.
Michelin Defender
It's not nearly that bad. With tires around of 26" every .10" change in diameter is around 3-4% on the speedometer. For example, if it reads 60 mph with 26.0" tires, the speedometer will read 60.2 mph with 25.9" tires. You can co up a size but that will throw your speedometer out of wack, it will indicate slower than you are actually going. Lets say you are going 70 mph, your actual speed will be closer to 80 mph.
I meant when I nail it. That squeal!Bias ply is quiet on the road,
I get annoyed by the roar of radials.
My convertible will never wear radials again while I own it.
I did...they don't carry themThey must be scarce. Did you try Coker tire?
