Anyone running this cam in a 318. The motor is 100% stock except for the 340 intake and Thermoquad and 340 exhaust manifolds. 904, currently stock converter and 7.25" rear likely has 276 gears
Im not planning on beating the snot out of it. Im sure the 2.75 will be fine for cruising for a while but yes a rear upgrade is the plans at some point.Might wanna find a rearend first.
Have you bought the cam yet Adam? If not, shoot me a PM.
What is the estimated HP gain using this cam over a stock 318 2-bbl cam in the OPs setup? How will MPG be affected?
What are the cam specs for the two cams? Stock 318 2bbl and the XE256?
Here's an oldie-but-goodie. I think with your stock-compression & stock-valve sprung' 318 the 73' 340 cam from Rockauto would be sweet.
