They can ask whatever they want.....if they get it it sets the market....if not they reduce it until they sell. In my opinion(worth what you paid for it) they won't get any where near that.

Backintime, you are correct. Most likely nowhere that. And 6 months from now when the irrational, knee jerk whipped up frenzy is over, and people realize life goes on after a supercar introduction, Someone is gonna have deep regrets. I remember at black friday when the X box 360 was introduced. Some moron bid on one of the first ones available on e bay. Paid $20,000. Didnt he show people how special HIS kid was. Twenty grand. 6 months later they were discounted for a hundred bucks off after people had been there and done that. Is the Hellcat desirable? Heck yeah. Will they be worth 25k a year from now when the economy shreds? Most unlikely. What kind of mods could be done on a used 2013 SRT Challenger for 150k?

Some dealers did the same thing with Vipers....

I remember up in the Seattle market back in the late 90s, I was at a Ferd stealership and just happened to glance at the sticker of a new Mustang Cobra. Not sure if it was a special edition, or what, but the MSRP was $45k, and the dealer markup was an additional $45k. I decided then and there I was keeping my truck, and I wasn't going to complain!

I told yall this would happen and got argued into the wall for it. The perfect example was the Prowler.

I hope all you rich people dont but one. I can build 4cars for that that will stomp it

This dealership will most likely have trouble getting more Helcats. Chrysler is monitoring how long Helcats set on a dealers lot and if a dealership has one setting longer than the other dealers average Chrysler decreases their allotment.

Think they will take a third party out of country check?

I hope that place never sales the car at that price. that is BS. looks like he was missed when they shut down some of the dealers a few years ago. brain dead

I'm sure this kind of thing was happening when the PT Cruiser started to trickle in to the dealers, of course not so ridiculously marked up. But you know a few were sold over MSRP.

This is the kind of thing that can kill a car for the manufacturer.

Back in 2000 I found a dealer that would sell me a Prowler for MSRP while everyone else wanted $$$ over MSRP.

No, I didn't buy it. I mean $50K for a toy, come on.

But in 2007 I found a killer deal on a 2004 SSR with only 1650 miles. I took it home with an extended factory warrantee for $29K o.t.d. It's a fun toy that can even tow my Casita
