This is such a cool build! I know how those "things" interfere with projects, but as long as you keep chugging along I'll be here reading it. I think this is one of the coolest builds I've seen.

Hiya Rick,

Did you only shave the "ribs" from the roof, like we've discussed before, or did you do more to it? I hope you have close-up and detailed pics. I would really love to do this to my daughter's '62.

I see that the drip rail is still there, and I like that.

The other thing I've been staring at is how could one lower the rear of the roof and get it to flow, without cutting the glass or changing the location of the rear window? The top of the roof just ahead of the rear window has always looked bulbous to me.

This is gonna be such a cool car when it is done. BTW, a previous comment you made... Do you own it, or is it a customer car?

another trick bit Rick....it's a bit hard to see but it looks like you've done what I was toying with doing.....did you remove the peaked edge and roll it like the wagons roof was?
have you tried hosting your images on Photobucket or similar and posting from there....gives much bigger images on the forum....

tear your car apart and get in and lay down on your floor and study what you see. if you can't figure it out .stay away from this type of modification

why not build your car with a 64-66 barracuda roof? or how about as a roadster?

That roadster rendering is a wicked AWESOME idea but I'm sure whatever direction you go is going to rock!

Awesome designs both ,Rapid. Normally I like my ragtops, that "fastback " roof line,is just flat perfect(IMO,of course). Those wire wheels, nail the look. A better version, of the Jensen ....

There's a young man here , around the Baltimore area that has done a similar treatment as your Cuda hood scoops. They did them on a 65 Barracuda. Isaw it in person a few weeks ago. Looks real slick

this conversion would be for the standard wheelbase car. it wouldn't work with my car that is 18 inches shorter

How about a "What if" rendering with Photoshop and take the 18" out of your drawing. Just to see what it looks like. That thing is TALKIN' to me!
