Had my 514 inch big block on the dyno this week. It has CNC ported EZ heads, a Super Victor with Wilson porting and a 1250 Dominator. We were testing different race fuels. The Q16 made the most power with just a hair over 900 hp. I'll post a couple of pictures and a link to a video.

Heads were ported by Modern and then touched up by Porter Racing Heads. They flow a little over 360 cfm at 0.700 on the bench at Porter's shop. They are not the Big EZ heads, these have the standard offset rocker arms. The heads are working hard to make 900 hp!

is it a Chrysler block, some gurus say that is impossible!

World block that I bought from the local Dodge dealer. It has a Chrysler part number so I suppose that makes it a Chrysler block. Says Mopar on the side.

Crane solid roller with 0.481 lobes. 282/288 duration at 0.050. The cam is probably 10 degrees bigger than it needs to be. I have a slightly smaller cam that I'm going to install for future testing.

Compression is 15:1 with custom Diamond pistons.

Intake is a Super Victor that was fully ported by Wilson. They welded in extensions for the runners and reworked the plenum. Here are a couple of shots of it.

they do amazing work! You wouldnt happen to have a R/B tunnel ram laying around too try?? lol Love your work sir!!

I'm in the process of rounding up the parts so I can convert this engine over to EFI. I sent the intake back to Wilson so they can weld in the bungs and build fuel rails. I have a Holley Dominator throttle body and ECU but I still need to figure out a few of the sensors. Might be a few more weeks before I get it on the dyno with EFI. Be fun if it makes the same (or more) power.

Here is a link to the article on the Hot Rod website. The article has a bunch more pictures than I posted here so if you are interested you can scroll thru them. Some good shots of the dry sump system as well as other parts. Extra points if you notice that I'm running a SB Mopar water pump on this BB engine!
