So obviously, none of you utg fans bothered to watch the video in question. He TOLD us what he did.....all I am pointing out his own words and actions...nothing more, nothing less.

Actually I did, as I'm sure others did.

He said he returned some failed lifters, and the store put them back on the shelf. A year later, he bought some lifters and they were bad. When he looked, they still had oil in them...

Seems it was a mistake of the store employees... Do you have ANY evidence to the contrary?

I'm guessing no, but I'll wait... not holding my breath though...

All he knows is to insult those he is jealous of.
Hey fanboy, there is no insult, or jelousy. I just pointed out what he HIMSELF admitted on film. Sorry your desperation to take up for your little buddy has clouded your ability to have a open mind.

That's the point. What kind of shyster takes damaged lifters back to the store he bought them from? He is a hack....

So.Much.Jealousy..... (you spelled jealousy wrong btw...)

Interesting how you insist on calling people names etc. as if it somehow makes your points more "valid". Makes your posts look foolish honestly.

So it's wrong to return something that failed? Got it... SMH...
I know from your previous posts, you dont have a complete understanding of all this, but in MOST cases, camshafts fail due to improper break in, and sometimes unclean assembly. Those lifters "went flat" during break in. That's not the lifters fault. He damaged 2 cams in a row, and returned parts that HE damaged and got his money back. That's dishonest in my opinion.

"Shyster" is a term used to describe unscrupulous behavior, it's not a "name"

Yup, HOWEVER, as I recall, the lifters in question still had machining marks on the bottom.

Weren't you the one screaming about how the 5.7 cams were crap because of poor metal?

I dont recall "screaming" about it, but yes there were metallurgy issues with the cams. Among other issues

So a person should not complain and "return" those cams....or warranty them. They should just eat it...
Well in the case of the 5.7 cams, if they fail out of warranty, yes, you eat it. Do you know how much a brand NEW cam straight from Chrysler costs? Its $80..... I have bought a bunch of them...I am a machinist, and have replaced a bunch of em. There is a reason they are so cheap. But you can put a aftermarket cam in there, and presto, no more cam failure...interesting, no?

I like his channel. I also like that Canadian kid on DD speed shop, he will work on anything. He likes Chebbies, but will do Mopar too.

Ah, so SOME things made with poor materials are OK to return.... Unless you're UT...

If you flatten a cam due to improper install, dirt, or improper breakin, that's builder error, not the parts fault. So you get your money back due to your own incompetence, and guess who pays? The store, and eventually everyone else. I have personally screwed up parts before, and I learn from it and move on, I dont try to cheat the store I bought from.

You seem to be confusing 2 different things here. UTG returned lifters he damaged on a cam break in, the 5.7 cam issues are factory cam failures that typically occur after some years and mileage.

Fair, and I agree with you. But you don't know for sure what happened. So again, present some actual evidence, otherwise this is all your opinion, which no matter what else I believe about you (Like you're probably an awesome engine builder for instance as I have NO evidence to support the contrary and you seem to know what you're talking about from a technical standpoint), is worthless.

Im not confusing anything. His claim is they they were manufactured without a crown, and as I recall, could be wrong, he shows machining marks on the bottom. How is that his fault?

You could be right, but you present ZERO evidence, so it's only your opinion.

I am simply making my observations based on HIS video and statements. Nothing more, nothing less.
