As the title suggests, how about some pictures of hydraulic clutch conversions in early A bodies. Thank you drive through.
Haha it kinda doesThe hydro had terrible "road feel" too. Felt like stepping on a rubber ball.
Firewall flex must be common on early abodies?Rob, we used a Tilton/McCloud (sp) hydro throw out bearing setup on our 65/340-451/833. We found the hydro throw out bearing was hard to bleed as the bleeder hose faced down (?) and the little cylinder they provided for the firewall had to be braced to the shock tower as the firewall was flexing! A motor brace bracket (from v8 motor to trans) was used on one of the cylinder mount bolts to the shock tower and it worked great, looked kinda stock as its still a mopar part. Hydro worked for us with a Lakewood LA/B bell and numerous headers.
I just thickened the firewall where the master cylinder is mounted. Nothings flexing so far on mineFirewall flex must be common on early abodies?
My dad's 64 flexes pretty bad when applying the brakes.I just thickened the firewall where the master cylinder is mounted. Nothings flexing so far on mine
