I could get down with that, I do actually own a pretty nice 69 Mach 1Yeah, like a 71 BOSS 351 Mustang.
LOLI'm thinking about dropping a Kaase 830 in a notchback.
Go cleanup on some Mopar powered Mopars.
You need my M code Cleveland.I could get down with that, I do actually own a pretty nice 69 Mach 1
It has a 408 Cleveland in it now actually with some Aussie AFD heads and intake on it.......when I get back around to that car i'm actually thinking of redoing the short block and using a race block Windsor so I would end up with an overall better ClevorYou need my M code Cleveland.

Ever since high school when a friend of mine had a real nice maroon 69 Mach 1 351 4 speed car and I was always in it with him but that body style had me hooked forever.....great body lines.....great quarters, just one of the best looking muscle cars of all time in my opinion....one of the best I said, LOLBack in late 1969-1970 we went to a local furd dealership where my uncle was Vice President. My dad was looking at an orange 1970 maverick and my sister (4 years older than me) were pleading with Dad to buy the new Mach 1 sitting next to it. Dad won that battle.
IMO this is where you blow it.it is embarrassing.

I was given a free 68 El Camino awhile back. ( I'm not a Chevy gal) cool car but everything on it seemed backwards. It was my friend's ex husband's. She bashed all the windows when they fought and he abandoned it. I got it with a title and I sold it and some of the money went to buy my 71 swinger.I was given a free pontiac lemans once.
Well worth the cost of free!
(im a pontiac guy in my spare time)
Many, if not most, of the members here have been turning wrenches on these cars since they were new. Many of them have worked in tough, industrial settings their entire lives, been through extreme hardships, and even been to war. To write a post telling them that you're ashamed of them because you didn't get the warm hugs you were expecting is arrogant and belittling. I honestly don't think you should be surprised at all that you came to a Mopar forum wanting to swap in a GM motor and got a little backlash.Hey all
I made a post to this forum about a month ago in search of help/advice. Normally when I speak to other car enthusiasts, they’re pretty happy to find that a younger person like myself is into these older cars, and they’re glad I’m doing my best to keep them on the road. I did not see this type of response on this forum, and it made me feel ashamed to even be part of the Mopar community.
Since I’m currently engineless and can’t get hold of a working slant six, I was tossing around the idea of LS swapping my Valiant, and wanted to know if anyone had any leads on a potential swap kit. I had no expectations of there being such a kit, but thought I’d ask anyway. Apart from a few helpful replies from members such as @RustyRatRod and others, I was mainly met with loads of angry replies and just plain bullying. To quote one member’s reply: “You know the sound of the cork coming out of the wine bottle, do you suppose a guy here’s that after he pulls his head out of his butt after realizing he should ask such dumbass questions on a Mopar forum?” Other replies consisted of belittling my abilities and questioning my intelligence.
Being part of a community is about supporting others in the community. Sure some people may have differing opinions, but in the end we all want the same thing: to see Mopars on the road rather than rotting away in a field or being crushed in a junkyard. I’d rather have that no matter what engine is powering it. I find it incredibly sad and pathetic that upon seeking advice from other enthusiasts, I was met with hatred and an inability to accept others’ ideas. The replies I received discouraged me from even wanting to get my car back on the road. I have never seen this much unsupportive behavior towards another member from any part of the car community, or any other non-automotive community for that matter. I am expecting this post to receive a few similar replies as my previous one. To those of you who comment things like this: you know who you are, be better.
Im not gonna read through 7 pages of arguments regarding LS swaps, but for crying out loud, at least the car isn't in a scrap yard!
You get a guy on here with a plan that he thinks is cool, and you beat him senseless with "WHY?"
Please support our hobby, you know..."car guys" without beating people up over decisions you don't like.
You blame him for being thin skinned, but he didn't start the thread to pick a fight.
In the mid 80s I was a manager of an auto parts store close to Indianapolis Raceway Park, and we considered the Mopar guys the biggest dicks by far to shop there. Gee. I wonder why.
Thanks man, I understand where you are coming from and will take that into consideration. It’s easy to get heated on here.IMO this is where you blow it.
Your initial points are valid as it is your opinion about how you percieve something.
But you can only be embarressed for something you do.
You can't be embarressed for other people without coming off like a
Doubling down on that didn't help. You're not my spokesperson, so don't speak for me.
I've seen this happen in Philadelphia and elsewhere with newbies and sometimes politicians. They immediately lose many folks who might have actually agreed with the position just by trying to put words in their mouths. Nobody likes that.
Good luck.
Heck, I think OMM said they have had an LS in for over a year cause they cain't get some bottom end parts..I'd rather see you put a bowtie 350 in instead of an LS.
The 350 would be less expensive than a LS or small block Mopar.
The aftermarket is very kind to the small block chevy in parts and your wallet.

Now, I agree that you should do whatever makes your heart happy with the car. Come up with a plan, do research, and execute. But if (and when) people disagree with you, don't take it personally. They might be disagreeing for a reason...
Just so you know, most of the guys are just busting your chops.Thank you so much for reading my post and understanding what I meant by it. You are one of the few people who have read it and not immediately felt attacked.
Read MY post again. I never accused you of bashing people for disagreeing with you. I simply said you shouldn’t be surprised of the reactions you got.Read my post again. I wasn’t bashing on people for disagreeing with me, I’m totally fine with that. The amount of experience anyone has doesn’t justify insulting anyone else.
Resigned just ahead of being ****-canned.Wonder what happened to him.
My all time favorite Ford.I could get down with that, I do actually own a pretty nice 69 Mach 1
Only when you lock it. I've said my peace/piece.Are we done here?
