I’ve got 3. 73 BH complete 30k with new gaskets, timing chain and oil/fuel pump on stand waiting for project. 68 block with 060 pistons rebuilt had bad head. Old 63 date code with A745 needs rebuilt from my 64 D100. Extra peanut head. I need more like a hole in my head.

Jeez. Let's rat myself out. In vehicles, five. Spares, two. On stands rebuilt to go back into vehicles, two. And I'll bet I'm not the nuttiest soul in this fruit salad.

I have 5 in the shed and they all have a deep cylinder ridge.

Then I have one real good one in my valiant wagon that cost probably what 2 or 3 small blocks would have cost to rebuild. The valiant slant is bored .30 over, has a performance cam and a hyper pak long runner intake.

Then I also have a good running one that is ugly but does run strong that I just put in a 75 dart (over the 4th of July weekend) I'm putting a 2 barrel on it as if it will make it run better. LOL

I feel like slants are slowly dying off because they sure are not cost effective and performance parts are getting harder to find and certainly not cheap.

I have six 170s and one 225 not in vehicles, plus the 225 in Vixen. I wish I could find a few more 225s.

Only 2 for me. Plus 2 904's. "The Some Day project" and a stash of go fast goodies.

Oh, are we counting transmissions too? Let's add on nine of them in vehicles, and another eight or nine loose on the floor of the shop. Of the 17-18 total, eight are automatics and the rest are manuals.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

4 "A" bodies (not all with running engines) 2 trucks (one with the slant), 5 engines on stands, in various stages of completion. 6 Complete "core" engines. Lots of blocks, cranks, rods, pistons. Lots of cyl heads (stock, milled, and large valve). All kinds of pistons, ring sets, bearings, valve train parts. Headers, cams, "tin", timing sets, crank scrapers, windage trays, etc.
22 Torque flyte cores including cable shift, and lock ups, and A500, A518. Also 65 down, and 66 up MVB's, Shifters
6 Standard shift trans (3 and 4 speed), bell housings, and pedal assys.
I can't list everything. Oh, plus 1 lonely 350 SMC 4 bolt main core engine.
Do I win?

Only one stray 904 and a bunch of A230 3 speeds.

Kinda hard to count a 3 or 4 speed because they work with slants and v8s.

I'm a pedal girl, I don't do automatics so that lonely 904 will probably get parted and tossed at some point.

The 75 dart I pictured above now has a hole in the floor and a 3 speed shifter is about to come through.

I find 3 on the floor quite fun to drive

Those A230s are really nice transmissions. I sold the one I had and wish I hadn't.

I agree with Rani on the stick cars but I have finally got so darn old I an hardly work a clutch! Bang gears while you can!!!!
I agree the A230 is a nice trans for what it is and cheap!!!

I'm a pedal girl,
So is my wife and both daughters. All 3 learned on sticks. And drove 'um for 20 years and more.
My daily is a stick. We are all older and are growing weary of 'um.
Oh, we are talking about SIX, Not STICKS ! My bad.

3, two on the floor and one in my low mileage 64 Fury 2dr ht, almost 40,000mi

Sounds like the winner but, someone close needs to intervene in that madness!

I keep saying I'm going to "thin the herd". Then someone offers me a deal that is too good to pass up. But I will say I have had more time to collect parts then many others. I started in 1974. I wish someone would show up with a trailer of cash and leave with a trailer of parts.

Is this a hint ? Be careful what you wish for, it may come true.
It did for me. Someone posted they were looking for a project. I ended up selling 1 project car, my Hemi car
and trailer along with 90% of all my parts. All with one photo. It was right place, right time.
Didn't want to,but couldn't pass it up.

I have found, over the decades, the hardest thing to sell is a garage full of parts!!!! But all it takes in one buyer!!!!

I have found that the biggest mistake is selling a garage full of parts. I had a ton of F body parts, sold them and now I need that stuff for the aspen wagon I have now. Now I'm buying back the stuff I had for way more money than I sold it for years ago.

So the lesson is: don't sell a garage full of parts!!
Even better, BUY a garage full of parts :usflag:

So is such a truth.Sits on a shelf for years, you get rid of it,you will need it the next day:BangHead:

My last count was only 12.
Plus some extra parts and transmissions.
One of them is windowed on #2 rod. lol

Sort of a hint, but I can't post a "for sale" here. I do need to get rid of a lot of "stuff". Parts, incomplete projects, tools, equipment, etc. I'm 81 years old, can't do as much as I used to, and none of my family is into cars. Need to get the "stuff" into the right hands.
