Have the same interior in my scamp. Awesome with a big block. You said you sold it?
It was a great little car! Ice cold ac as well. I did sell it, a guy on FB made me a great offer on it so I let it go. It is in Wisc now. Nice guy and he loves it!

Awesome! I took my ac out in high school when I rebuilt my engine and haven’t put it back in. As I get older having 10 extra HP doesn’t seem to justify sweating all the time . How hard was it stuffing that big block in an A body?

Yeah I am the same way! lol. It was sure nice to have it! I did not build the car, my friend built it as a " what if" type car so he used all factory parts to give it the factory built look. It actually isn't too terrible if you have the right K frame or you can just get a new mount set through a few aftermarket places, we did a 440 in my old 69 dart a while back. The pain is the headers though, otherwise manifolds work well if you get the correct ones.

Good to know. Yes I’ve thought of doing a what if in my scamp that would be similar to what they run in FAST. But that’s for another day lol. Headers were a pain with my 318. Couldn’t imagine a big block lol

Haha, I know right! I remember putting some on my 340 GTS back as a kid and just hating it so much!! Yeah thee big block is a drag but if you spend the money, we put TTI's on my 69 and it was not to terrible really. Oh man I love the FAST class!! Those cars and what they can get them to do are just amazing to me, I don't care what make they are they all just rock!

No doubt! It’s my favorite class of racing.

So I finally got to chat with the current owner of my old 73 340 sport. Could not be a nicer guy. He has had it about 10 years or so and his grandfather had it for about 6 years before him and he got it as a graduation present from his grandfather. He is not looking to sell it and between he and his dad and grandfather they have about 30 classics. He is a pipefitter in Oklahoma so it has been sitting for a little while but he is looking to get it back out this year! Anyhow just a quick update and at least it is in good hands and I will be the first to know if he ever wants to let it go.

Cool. So what was with the left bottom side of the car? Rust or a shadow in the picture?

I asked him about that! It had a few blisters and at the time of the orig pics back from several years ago he had them cleaned up and primed. Painted now as best they could as far as matching the color. I picked that color and it is a fleet color called " Strato yellow"

Great to hear you were able to speak with current owner. I would bet if they ever do sell they would want it back in your hands. Car is a cool ride.

Thanks! I was shocked he found it so fast I have posted it all over on FB and A body sites and it never turned up. I will share current pics once I chat with the owner. Hopefully soon!
Two days! You found your old car in two days? Damn. I have misplaced car keys that stayed lost longer than that.

Happy to say after a couple days Wes on Facebook page " Lost Muscle cars" was able to find it and sent me a current picture of it! Other than the wheels being changed out to some DAISY style mags and painting the grill body color (why!?) it looks the same. Waiting to see if the owner is wiling to chat. Hope he will at least fill me in on its history and possibly get it back.
Did that website work good for you?

Yeah it did! I sent the info to Wes and he looked for a few weeks, he said it was one of the tougher ones to find. He recently found the owner of my old 68 road runner. If you're looking for an old ride it is worth checking with him!
