Anyone retaper small ball joints spindles to fit large ball joint upper control arms?

Sure, if there is enough metal remaining around the hole. I've never done it but if the work is done properly, good luck.

I think the taper is 7 degrees in the spindle if I recall correctly.

there's a discussion about this previously (and what to call the component) and the conclusion was that it's perfectly acceptable if you're the kind that likes to gamble.

there's not a ton of meat left once it's blowed out to the right size.

the topic of component reference remains, peevishly, unresolved to some.

I didn't realize there was a debate on there name but I know now.
It was recommended to retaper them but wanted to know if anyone has done it with positive results?
I'm told also that there 7 degrees.
