What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

-
I was in the same building as my car today for the first time in about a month. Almost had time to start it. It’s pathetic how little I have done with it recently.

Drivin her to church. After that, probably go to town for a sammich....maybe some Sunday fried chicken. Who knows?

Doing absolutely nothing on the car. This time of year (early spring for us) is pretty much dedicated to getting the house exterior and the yard shaped up. Car will wait until it's so freaking hot, I nearly die in the shop.

Pulled the engine, swapped the converter, replaced shocks. Just have to add a bit of clearance to the push rod tunnels in the heads then screw it all back together!

More sheet metal work today. Think I have the passenger quarter to where a little filler will finish it. Looks better in person than the pictures. And building a new porcupine on the drivers quarter panel. Not sure what the PO’s hit with this ole girl but the metal was really stretched. Getting it there a little at a time.

Started the install on my Wilwood disc brake kit. No pics as this job is messy and I'm not handling my phone with greasy hands. Got the hub and rotor installed on the drivers side. Didn't have time to work on it Sunday... next weekend is taxes :(

Been busy this past weekend to get more low end tork in Victoria, will see how it does today , did a repaint on my valve covers.
I feel my age this morning, 66 Plymouth, me, a 66 year old

I spent yesterday bench testing and cleaning my really nasty starter. Now debating whether to paint it or not,and if so, what color(s).

Not much, but today got my rallye speedo sent off to MrHeaterbox for resto/repair.
Ive read great things about them, so cant wait to get it back and see their work.
Will post the results when I get it back.

I met them at Moparfest. I have also heard good reports. I have to get my tach sender out and have them fix it.

Just drilled out the hole for the tripmeter reset in my brand new expensive dash bezel. After some sweating, some anxiety, and lots of "oh please please please" SUCCESS!
Ya its a small hole, but one little slip of the drill bit means a scratch in a brand new bezel........
Whew :)

I'd like to know if you feel a difference between the 2 intakes
I was surprised ! I figured it would do better but wow, I have a little under a half tank and never had this problem, gave it a matted hit, to 47 thousand, shifted, and at 38 thousand she started to flutter , she squated and pulled much better, slinging my gas all the way back and sucked air threw the pick up, I had a tick over 3/8 of a tank and it never set me in my seat that hard.
So yes  I am VERY happy with my time spent changing over to the Aig Gap style
