Hi Folks

While installing my trim clips for the windshield, I found 2 holes that were stripped. Because of the head design, regular (larger) screws will not work.

Before I drill new holes in the A pillars to accommodate the OEM sized screws, I thought I'd check to see if anyone has a handyman fix for this type of situation.

Thanks FABO

My Marson rivet tool kit came with a countersunk "bit" so to speak. Anvil might be a better term. Anyway, it lets the rivet stand proud to accommodate a windshield clip.

Jb weld the hole and drill for the screw or place some jb on the screw fix it and let it set before putting the trim on

I’ve used pieces of a paper clip in a U shape in the past. Slide it over the edge of the metal and reinstall the screw. Basically the same concept as using a thin piece of wire.
