Now we know some of your favorite guitar players.
My question who is the greatest singer of all time? This is also a hard one to list only one person.Who are some that should be in the top ten?
I think Elvis and Roy Orbison should be among the top ten. There are so many. And I have not even gave Country music any thought.
Some of may favorites Paul Rogers of Bad Co.,Freddie Mercury ,Robert Plant ,Bon Scott of AC/DC,Bob Segar,Steve Perry,Dennis DeYoung of Styx,Elvis, and Pat Benatar.
Jim

Elvis would definately be up there along with John Lennon, Aaron Neville, John Fogerty the Gibb brothers there's just so many. There were many good motown artists I couldn't list all of the great ones without missing a few. A:dontknow:s well as country artists it would be super hard to list the ten best singers of all times.

My favorites are Jon Anderson of Yes, Steve Walsh of Kansas, and Peter Gabriel.

I dont think there is really such thing as the great singer, guitaris or anything like that. It's a really prefferential thing. favourites are another thing so i'll just put that.

My favourites whould have to be 1) Jim Morrison 2) Chino Moreno 3)Rober Plant

Marvin Gaye, Sam Cook, Otis Redding, Billy Joe Royal, Aaron Neville, I Like Vocalists With Alot Of Soul In Their Voice.

Brad Delp from Boston. 4 octive range and perfect pitch.

BOYS- Robert Plant
GIRLS- Ann Wilson
UNCERTAIN- Boy George :happy10: Lol, no really Rik Emmett.

Old school country, Patsy Cline...........gives me goosebumps!
I also like Lou Gramm, Mickey Thomas, Ian Gillan, Paul Rogers and DARTLARRYS picks. For hairband singers there`s Sebastian Bach and for a modern day singer Chris Cornell. For stylized singers Van Morrison and Steven Tyler. There`s so many things that make a singer great it`s hard to pick any one person.

Allison Krause sings in a way that makes my heart thump. Not many may know of her as she's a bluegrass honey. :) I listen to everything, from classical to blues to rock. I'm listening to "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath right now, lol.

Ramcharger, Have you ever heard Allison Krauss sing with Robert Plant?? It is awesome!!

I agree... Also Rob Halford of Judas Priest, 4 octive range and perfect pitch

I think 4 octaves would be a stretch for Rob Halford. Brad Delp perhaps. If you`re looking at singers with 4 octave ranges then you`ll have to go to opera singers or women like Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey. 3 octaves is a practical singing range for most professionals, especially men.

No freaking way! Please respond with the name of that album!

I just recently found about them too, the album is called "Rasing Sand", here is some of the vids I found on You Tube, they sing some songs they made, and some old vintage Zep songs too! I still need to get the CD, I think Plant sounds awesome with her, a good combo! The last link is a classis Zep one, Black Dog! Enjoy Ramcharger!!!!!
