How could you tell they had been refaced?

Did you remeasure your pin diameter and top of piston to top of pin bore yet? Calipers will be fine for these approximate measurements since all you are trying to do here is figure out what you have. Zero them out and hold them square when measuring. Figure out what you have first.

Something you won't be able to bolt a head to with that rod and piston.

This is based on your measurement from the first post 1.327. In post 29 you said 1.387. was that a mistyped?

in your first post your measurement is 1.327". Where did that come from?

If you didn't add in 1/2 the pins diameter you have a setup for a stock stroke 318. with a 9.6 deck it will be .0295 in the hole.

Are you adding 1/2 the pins diameter to your measurement?
