Sorry forgot to put that in 1974 Valiant 318 Stock A/C System RV2

I am charging my a/c system and have a question. When I set the a/c to max a/c the compressor clutch is locked and the compressor is spinning but when I put it to normal a/c the clutch does not lock up. Is this normal.

Did anybody get pictures of the green 74 Valiant in the young guns section? I brought a car to Carlisle for the first time and forgot to take pictures of it. On Friday I was next to a green 69 Valiant and on Saturday I was next to a green 75 Duster.

Thanks, it already has a dual exhaust. The engine is the original unrebuilt one that came stock, but it only has 16,600 miles.
