Craziest Brake Job I have ever done

What? That rotor isn't that bad, that's the new vented style!

    here it comes Colorado

Nothing Mopar related, picked up a 700r4 for my truck, some cheap acrylic paint to practice with on the Duster and Camaro projects, and some sanding supplies. I was looking for pretty specific things for the projects, saw a lot of neat stuff that I could have bought but have no use for. Don't...

What Did You nThink About Chrysler's "It's Halftime America" Commercial?

I loved it! No other commercial even came close.

Compressor / mag motor control issues

Okay, took it apart again to look at the control section of it, didn't see anything corroded or looking out of place, but did notice from the design that the plastic carrier that controls the switch moved really easy. Since we were supposed to be moving shortly after I got the compressor, I...

    here it comes Colorado

I probably would have stayed longer but my pager went off as well. Was able to pick up a tranny for my chevy truck and some cheap paint to learn how to shoot again. Very little mopar stuff from what I saw, one mopar in the car corral used car section, a 76 RamCharger was being pushed in right...

Compressor / mag motor control issues

No, but I'll probably give a mobile compressor service outfit a call and have them come and take a look at it. Rather spend a couple of hundred on a service call instead of risking the motor and replacing that at $600 or more. Thanks again for all the assistance!

    here it comes Colorado

Gotta love Colorado. Last night could barely get the wife's van out of the driveway, only got 14" here, but heavy wet stuff. This morning left for the swap meet about 10, interstate was clear and mostly dry, got back this afternoon and only have about 5" left on the grass, but lots of little...

Compressor / mag motor control issues

Thanks for all the suggestions. I bypassed the contactors, and the issue went away and the motor ran smoothly but there was still a loud ticking. I still had the coil in the circuit and I could hear it opening and closing the contactors that was causing the ticking. I then disconnected the...

Compressor / mag motor control issues

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Once I cleaned the contacts with some electronics cleaner, they didn't look too bad so just put them in and the issue persists. So, if bypassing the contactor has the same issue, would it be the cap on the motor? If bypassing does get rid of the issue, would it be...

Compressor / mag motor control issues

Okay, here are the pictures of the contacts, and they look pretty pitted to me so I'm going to take an emery board and clean them up and see. The unloader is built in to the pressure switch, so when power is turned off a valve opens. As far as spinning freely, I was referring to the motor...

    here it comes Colorado

It's coming down still in Longmont, but not heavy, not enough to cover where I shoveled today so far. It's heavy and wet, more like a spring snow than a winter one.

Compressor / mag motor control issues

Okay, I picked up a Dresser 5HP/80 Gallon compressor last year, and it's been working great, but last weekend I turned it on and it seemed like something was caught in the motor, it would turn for a millisecond, then stop, then turn again and just try to freeze up but eventually run okay. I...

    here it comes Colorado

I don't know how much we have here in Longmont, just know it's almost up to the shoulder on our border collie. Been a long time since she's seen this much snow, she hasn't decided if she likes it or not. Hey ramcharger, know of any 74 or 75 rc's for sale?

coming down pretty good here in Longmont now, yards are covered and starting to stick to the streets. Think we're supposed to get between 10-14".

    Chevy Guys

I agree with Divenut, as long as it's old iron, I like it for the most part. My driveway is a good example with a 71 C10 truck, 70 Duster, 92 Camaro, and has had a 70 Mustang and a 69 Chevelle in it at times. I've also had Volare's, Aspens, Cutlass's, Challengers and Ford trucks through the...
