Seeking advice on applying clear powder coat

That one was formulated for aluminum but they have a couple others that might work too. I don't do much on brass.

Seeking advice on applying clear powder coat

I'd use a clear ceramic instead of powder. Check out MC5100 for polished metals. Cerakote.com

    Shipping LCA's via USPS

I see some great and some seriously lame packing efforts at my shop. Most shipping damage happens when parts are shoved into a too-small box to save a couple bucks. Avoiding the "three inches of collapsible material on all sides of the item being shipped" will cancel out any insurance you might...

Paint on rear window chrome pieces, '65 Barracuda

 "... it's only a five color job," possibly on (58 year old) pot metal. Any powder rookie should be jumping all over that.

    MIA

Yayyyy glad to hear it Cal! I saved this one from Veterans Day 2012, and the one of your son crouching near the Firebird. You FABO guys are beyond memorable. You're FAMILY!

    k-frame strengthening

Great point on the heat factor @J-c-c! Not being a certified welder, your input is excellent. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and teaching me something I didn't know.

Those two comments above both depict why it's important to hire experienced people who stand behind their work.

I sent a link to this thread to the pirate crew. How cool is this??? Ten bucks in booty for telling them how awesome they are!?!

Not that I know of, but I've never read the fine print ... because there really isn't any to read. Just surf their website for a few minutes and take a tour of the ship. I don't think it even has a gangplank. :steering: All I know is that they've saved my guys an awful lot of money already and...

Magazine cars. How many on the forum?

Count me in. I didn't get the cover of the May 2011 issue of Auto Enthusiast but had a couple pics and an article. Most people who read it thought Billy built my car but I'd already owned it for 12 years when we met.
