    The aluminum support is bored to 1.6245”. Bearing raceway is 1.312”. Output shaft journal needs to be machined to 1.312”. Bearing is INA SCE 2110.     Tubular Automotive TDR8 1-7/8. All tubes exit chassis. No tubes go thru federwell Probably don’t have them on the shelf. They make sub flanges for J and W2 heads

    Shifter for clean neutral

    Turbo Action SCS can be used with the correct gate plate. They even sell a clean neutral reverse pattern decal. Of course Precision Performance Products makes a shifter as well Check out turboaction.com and look at the shifters and gates.

    A-904 Compatibility and changes?

    In 72-73 the kick down servo diameter increased. In 78 the sealing ring diameter changed on the input shaft. Can’t remember the year, but the roller bearing on the output shaft changed dimensions. The wide direct drum used a front pump with a beveled back. Just a few I remember off the top.

    I ran 0.025/0.025 with iron heads. Definitely a little quieter. Cannot comment if any performance gain or loss.

    Transmission drag oil pan

    Here is a picture of a valve body windage tray. But I would think the logic for the low rear sump would increase fluid volume and prevent the sump filter from sucking air during a wheel stand. Turbo Action has a special angled filter adapter on their website but picture is not very clear.

    Driveshaft length

    904 is same length as an A-body A833 4 speed trans, so yes 904 with 8-3/4 is same as A833 & 8-3/4. The driveshaft in my duster with a 904 and 8-3/4 is 49.27" C-C length 727 and 8-3/4 should be 44.99" IIRC John
