modified hood
I have an unfinished 'cuda/dart and a chally hood
that could be bought if someone wanted to make all
the shipping arrangements.
That motors swingin a big set of nuts!
Be interesting if a smaller venturi carb would up the
bottom end torque do to airspeed, might make a difference
across the whole rpm range.
If you built this engine for your car you'd rule the streets, with
no problems with the valve train if the lift isn't outrageous.
EQ heads ported 2.08/1.60 300 cfm @ .600"+
Plenty of room for a little bigger cam.
Be interested in the vacuum readings.
If you could get the higher tq numbers to start at 2800, you'd never
have to downshift with a 4:10 maybe a 3:91 gear on the street.
I'm not sure if a smaller venturie carb would speed up the airflow
and feed the cylinders more across the rpm range.
From the airflow numbers it never drew more...
Seems like a well tune engine to me.
I'd like to see a pull with a smaller carb, maybe a 650, then bigger headers on another.
Laugh if you want but I'd be interested in what it does for torque numbers.
Most of todays things are made somewhere else
do to EPA regs.
You don't have to look much farther than cheaper labor,
retirement and medical to see why American companies
can't compete.
This is why our government is trying to unload our companies
from these burdens and make it mandatory for you...
