i didn't use any on my brothers 360 and its been fine, and that motor gets beat on pretty hard but it think it was used on my 340

try to check the coolant level to see if the motor uses any, i have seen head gaskets put on upside down causing coolant to seep into the oil, hopefuly this is not the case tho

you just go opposite the rotaion of the distibuter to advance it,this holds true to any motor. a small block mopar has a clockwise rotation so you go counter clockwise to advance the timing however a big block is just the opposite
