This is where I am at now. Removed and replaced all axle studs on right axle. Put wheel (Cragar SS) back on and used new lug nuts and washers. Nuts are 7/16 x 20. Had read on site that nuts should be torqued to 65 ft. lbs. Started torque at 30 ft. lbs. and then went to 40 ft. lbs. then 50...

Been doing some thinking (?) and have decided to try some regular new studs. May get them tack welded if I can find someone who will do it. Anyhow will give update when I get finished. Thanks again for help.

Thanks for the tips. They aren't sloppy in hole loose, just turning in the hole. May just try some with larger splines.

Having trouble finding lug nuts that will fit my Cragar Mags. Measurements of the lug nuts are: Length: 1 1/2 inches, Shank length: 3/4 inches, Hex head: 11/16, and I think the shank diameter is .592. Anyone know where I can find some?

I have a 489 8 3/4 differential with I believe Borg Warner Spin Resistant that needs to be rebuilt. Is this something that I could do or is it best to let someone who rebuilds rearends do it. It has been 50+ years since I have messed with a differential and just not sure about tackling this...
