    corbin clamps

I hear ya. It's been weeks since I've heard back from a few vendors myself. If they don't want my business, I move on to the next one. There are plenty out there. Like @toolmanmike stated, the fuel filter was originally secured using Oetiker clamps, which can be a little difficult to find...

    corbin clamps

My local True Value hardware store carries some of the smaller sizes. Same gold plating as the reproduction clamps. I think they are the 'Hillman' brand.

    Timing Chain Cover Replacement

Thanks for all the replies! Just one more thing I was concerned with...Is it necessary to loosen any of the pan bolts when re-installing the cover? Just don't want to cause any more leaks. Also don't want to run the risk of warping the pan if I don't have to. Thanks!

    Timing Chain Cover Replacement

Yeah, I tend to agree. I may just end up buying a new one. When installing the cover, should I use some sort of long spacers (with the bolts) in place of the wp and let the sealer/gasket set up. Then once the sealers is done curing, remove the wp bolts/spacers, install the water pump and...

    Timing Chain Cover Replacement

My plan was to use an aviation glue in addition to the gasket. You think just red RTV with work?

    Timing Chain Cover Replacement

Getting ready to replace my timing chain cover due to a leaking gasket. Picked up a used one anticipating heavy corrosion behind my current cover. The used one I picked up is in great shape, hell its even date code correct! But after cleaning it up, I noticed the block mating surface isn't...

    wheel cyl. fitting

Dave, I figured this is what you had going on. I'm sure the new disk set up must be world of difference. I think you got very lucky that double flare worked. It probably would have leaked for me knowing my luck. I just went to the parts store and picked up a new 3/16" line with 2 European...

    wheel cyl. fitting

That's what I thought. What's weird is I ordered a new replacement from rock auto and the cylinder bore is set up the same way. It's concave to accept a bubble flare.

    wheel cyl. fitting

Dave, I know I'm a little late to the party, but I know exactly what you mean. I'm currently running into the exact same problem, so I did a search and just now came across this thread... Just to give you a little background, I've got a '72 340 4 speed duster with a manual 4 drum set up...

    Correct Master Cylinder

Looking to replace my master cylinder. A little confused on which one to get. Was going to order one from Classic Industries, but they don't list a stock mc for 10" brakes for '72 (just 73 and up). My car still has the original 4 wheel drum set up. Manual front and rear 10" brakes sbp with...
