    POWDER COATING COST

My powder coater will help with small jobs in the major colors he does (black predominately) where he collects all the small jobs for a week and does 1 huge job of all the gloss black at once, turning a bunch of small jobs into a big one. Expect custom colors to be more for the setup and...

    Cragar Mach 8 Spacers

Thanks for the idea. I've looked at those, and I don't think they will. Those look like they are traditional wheel spacers. These things actually go into the back of the wheel to make a flat surface that can be flat up against the hub. Weirdest thing I ever did see.

    Cragar Mach 8 Spacers

Thanks! I'll ask, I thin there were plenty of washers for the front side under the lugs. I texted my brother and he said they had the other ring, it was just in pieces and missing one of the oval parts for the backside of the wheel. They have 4/5ths of the other ring. I'll get a look at it when...

    Cragar Mach 8 Spacers

I'm not sure they'd survive getting cut down, as someone else said, they aren't the best castings. They appear to be pretty brittle. And you also haven't met my Dad, not running Mach 8s is complete heresy lol. I'm guessing my best option is to get some made. I'll talk to some guys with access...

    Cragar Mach 8 Spacers

I think they press into the back of the wheel. I know they said you can't mount the wheels without one of the spacers in there. Dad had 4 wider spaces that they used and that located the rear wheels fine but the fronts look stupid. I don't have a picture of the back of the wheel, but my brother...

    Cragar Mach 8 Spacers

So, I decided to just start here, though I'm not sure where I need to go or how I'm gonna track this down sort of having this part made, but let's try! Recently got my Dad's Dart fired up again after a 30+ year snooze, and in that time he bought a set of 14x6 Mach 8s to go on the front to match...

Looking for other Mopar geeks in Dallas area

I'm game, my Dart is miles away from hitting the road again, but I'm slowly making progress. If you guys hit Texas Thaw let me know, I'm happy to make the drive over. I'm in Denton fairly regularly, I'm finishing up my degree so I end up at Discovery Park once in awhile on weekends. If posting...

Help Firing Dad's Dart up Again - SOS - No Spark After Hosing Off the Dust

Yeah, that picture is all of our favorites of the ones we've looked at so far. There are still 2 more cameras that need gone through. Mom said she still remembers seeing Dad next door to her cousin's house the first time. It was the summer of 1975 and she got his attention and they went for ice...

Help Firing Dad's Dart up Again - SOS - No Spark After Hosing Off the Dust

No worries on the rush! It's a 5 hour run between houses, and I just hadn't' made it home yet to post. I wasn't going to not post an update after all of the help!

Help Firing Dad's Dart up Again - SOS - No Spark After Hosing Off the Dust

I just got home tonight, we revealed it on Thursday. Thanks everyone for coming along for the ride and all of your advice as we made this happen. It's been 2 days and Dad still can't talk about it without choking up. It's one of the absolutely coolest things I've ever had the chance to be a part...

Help Firing Dad's Dart up Again - SOS - No Spark After Hosing Off the Dust

Everyone, we've got a running car again. I got on the horn with Ryan and we went over all of the advice we received, talked it through. Parts were bench testing fine. We just couldn't put on finger on it. We finally just made a temporary ignition harness and bypass the main harness and it fired...

Help Firing Dad's Dart up Again - SOS - No Spark After Hosing Off the Dust

So, I'm not fully understanding this interlock that his car has. Apparently it is still installed and was giving them problems early on and preventing the car from cranking. Currently it is still hooked up and the car will crank but they're not getting spark. They can jump the 2 yellow wires...

Help Firing Dad's Dart up Again - SOS - No Spark After Hosing Off the Dust

They're tracing wires and connections. This has got to be a bad connection somewhere. The coil ohms out fine (1.4 ohm on the primary coil and 9800 on the secondary). The ballast resistor checks out. At this point it's just a matter of if they'll have time to find it or not. We weren't going to...
