My '71 ain't a '71...or is it?

70 up the body sequence number on dusters ended up being stamped in the rear package tray sheetmetal. Not sure if they did that with darts starting in 1970.

Vin partial on radiator support is on the top of the support, drivers side, under an antifreeze instructions decal.

I am more familiar with the duster/demon locations (so package tray VIN may not apply to the scamp), and moparmat2000 is correct about VIN partial being stamped on rear package tray.....it is usually found around the lip of the drivers side speaker hole.

To OP:
Pic to illustrate where to look for VIN partial on rad support (can be stamped anywhere from middle to far right, but is usually in circled area). Usually on top lip area.
Last numbers from VIN have to match dash/fender tag/rad support/trunk lip/package tray.......if not, then that piece has been replaced.

Package tray partial VINs are on 1970 up 29 models, the Duster, Demon & Dart Sport models.

The hard top '23' models have been found with the partial VIN on the drivers side rear truck gutter as well as the passenger side rear trunk gutter.

So if you do not find one on the drivers side, check the other side.

By the way, I like your car. Doesn't really matter if the engine was swapped or this part or that part was changed.

That's a fricken sexy car that would look sweet going down the road.
Thanks! I really like it, too. I like the straight lines with subtle curves, nothing flashy. Just simple. And I agree, it wouldn't change the way I feel about the car whether it was part 71/part 73, all 71 or all 73. Mostly I had a panicky moment and wanted to be sure, as to make ordering parts easier in the future.
