When I was a kid I was an avid model builder and I learned to avoid Revell kits like the plague. The quality on some of the kits I’d purchased from them was really, really bad. Others were quite good. But since the boxes were sealed I never knew what I would find inside if I took a chance, so I stuck with Monogram, whose quality was consistently high. That being said, Revell Germany has always been known for quality.
