Just hit a mile stone with my 69 Barracuda 340 4spd. After about 300 hours of metal work, Body work, block sanding and paint work. It’s finally got some color. T3, Honey Bronze metallic as it was originally, only this time it’s base/clear.
I installed full quarters on both sides, drivers floor, and trunk extensions. Did a very minor frame rail patch then attacked the underside. Fully painted the underside of the car, installed Pirate Jacks disc brakes, had the 340 and 4spd rebuilt. Pulled and painted the rear, bought a new instrument bezel (ouch, pricy), then blocked the heck out of the body. Painted jams and engine bay, then installed engine and trans. Finally after months (started in March) I was able to take it to a paint booth and paint it this weekend. I enjoy restoring cars as a hobby, but must confess, this took longer than I thought. Wish I could say “it’s all down hill from here” but I know better, and looking at about 6 months of interior, wiring and detail work.
Here are some pics of the progress

That's going to be one Purdy fish

Great looking car! Nice colour too!

Awesome work. I don't think I've ever seen a 69 FB in that color. If I'd seen this earlier, I might have painted my 69 BF that color. Are you going to put a white 69 only 340 callout stripe in it? I think that would look AWESOME with that color. PS, when I showed my wife your car she said that is beautiful, but it needs a white stripe on it.

I'm a big fan of gold and bronze colored cars. I'm glad you stuck with the original paint code.

Thanks Guys!
I was not sure how I felt about the color until I painted the engine bay. It shows best on a larger panel. Once painted I really like the color
I do like the idea of the white stripe, however the original was black and I think the stripe and interior color should match. So probably going with a black stripe. But I fully agree, white would be awesome.
I’ll do a light wet sand and polish this weekend to get that mirror glass finish. Then yes, the clean work will start, I do look forward to not being covered head to toe in slick sand dust.
Good eye, yep the Pantera is a fun car. This one puts out just under 600 hp and is stupid quick, thus the user name, Quickitty
Thanks again and I appreciate all the support from the people of this forum
