Confused on PCV system for 360 magnum

He's asking about PCV, not vacuum advance. What makes you think vacuum advance has anything to do with the PCV system?
Absolutely not a damn thing! I just observe a member's car that had something out of whack no big deal or what I thought was out of whack...
If we only make one or two post about it it's just an observation if we go on and on about it it's a derailment...

O.K., I just thought it was extraneous information that would probably confuse the PCV issue.
 
Yes that would be the best plan. That way any air coming "in" to the crankcase has to pass thru the aiir ilter first. But you don't have to do it that way. You can just put a filtered breather in the valve cover opposite the one with the PCV valve. K&N makes nice filtered breathers, but even the "cap" style ones with what looks like a brillo pad inside work pretty well.
