They're a good engine but also very limited on what you can do to them. They don't lend themselves to mods, so you'd better like them 'as is'. They're also not a low-end power engine, so don't drop one in a heavy vehicle and expect it to do well. By 'heavy', I mean probably 3200lbs+ if it's a drag car.

Get a good convertor behind them they will leave just fine.

If it was 3200 pounds it would have still left just fine. And that was a restrictor plate motor, 12 to 1 with a very mild camshaft. The heads are sensational.
They make torque, just not gobs like a high compression stroker
