All, I am putting my 66 Formula S back together since I have all this time on my hands and I have some requests. FYI I am using the original style pump.
1) Pictures of your power steering hose routing
2) Hose part #s?

I didn’t put it together so no idea on parts numbers but I think the routing is original.
That looks like the way it will have to run in order for it to fit. Right now I am trying to find the correct pressure line, most of the ones I have seen are not correct and push the hose right up to the radiator core support and rub.

I'm putting my '65 Formula S power steering back on this week. Does anyone know if the pressure hose needs an o-ring where it enters the pump? Thank you. (dukes69 inbox is full).

dibbons,
The H.P. hose port is an "outlet", not "enters the pump". A 1965 should have the TRW power steering pump. As I recall, the port is a female inverted flare. Later engines used the Federal (Chrysler) pump which looks almost identical but isn't. My 1969 Dart had that pump. I don't know the year it began. It has a different H.P. port fitting. My 1965 has one now (long story), but forgot the port. Even later engines (1973+?) used the Saginaw (GM) pump which has an O-ring fitting at the H.P. outlet. The H.P. fitting at the steering gearbox vary for the 3 types, as does the size of the return hose.
