Classic Car Insurance Hagerty vs Grundy

I mentioned Autocross and he also told me Hagerty would not insure the car if it was involved in Autocross. I had him speak with someone to verify that and he came back with the car would not be covered while on an Autocross track. That is what I expected.
Wonder if it would be better to try and find a local Hagerty Agent and not deal with someone who works out of the Corp office?
That sounds par for the course. The key make it or break it for me was whether the company will cancel the policy for autocrossing or other closed course events. I specifically called my company rep about this when one of the big name insurance companies was dropping people who they found out were going to the dragstrip.
Anyway it sounds like that's not an issue with Hagerty, they just won't cover damages related to an event.
That's good to know as at some point I may get classic plates...

FWIW there are companies that will provide various types of insurance for closed course events. Its often offered at registration for track events, such as Track Night in America.
Look at that - its Hagerty - offering collision, but not liability.
