That's a long way to go cross country with an old vehicle that you don't know, best to put it up on a car trailer and tow it back.

Then you can get all the bugs out of the truck on your own time and terms.

Getting stranded out on the highway is an expensive deal and major inconvenience.

I certainly can’t argue... That would definitely be the smartest, easiest, and likely the cheapest way to get it here. But there’s just no adventure in that! And I was quoted $3k to ship it... We will likely spend that on this little escapade but we’ve both taken the week off to spend the time together just to see if we can make it. Safety is my only real concern... short of that, we will make memories to talk and laugh about.
