That would be great, hard to get to the backing plates without cutting the seat up or pulling cover off. Hopefully they are intact and what im looking for in pictures. If they are and some pictures what do you want for them?
I dont know what they are worth, but I am not using them, so open to an offer.
I can take pictures this weekend the seat is not at my house, sitting in my barn about 1/2 hr drive.
I brought new ones we have bucket seats, but we tried to use different backing plates 1/2” push on washers now they are coming loose. We couldn’t find correct OEM backing plates. We finished rear seats the same way recovered them and had them in the basement and mice got in them and we had to redo them. It has been quite a uphill battle.I know if you have to cut up the seat to get the medallions and the backing plates out you may want more for them.
Thanks for the info! I think I’m going to try the longer bench seat backing plates if I can get them. Who knows maybe reproduction medallions I got aren’t exactly correct. And put OEM medallions on as well. Father and Son project eight years into it.
The problem is those medallions need to sit down in that crease between the back and bolster. The plate might not let it sit down where it needs to hit give it a try and see how it looks. Great looking car!
Thanks, I’ll try to really get them pushed into the crease . I used an open end bit driver. Your suggestion of a socket would spend out the load on the washer.
